Real Lyfe, (Alex), born in 1988, grew up in a single parent home after his father died at 3 months old. In the care of a great single mother, he was raised in the church and taught the meaning of good manners, good behavior, achieving good grades, and the importance of spirituality. Growing up as a child, Alex fell in love with music at an early age and desired to learn how to play the bass guitar at age 9. Being taught how to play by his uncle added flames to his musical spark. He began playing in the church for several choirs in and outside of his church. He then went on to learn to play the keyboard by a great friend, and then lightly learned to play the lead guitar. Alex took the knowledge he gained and pushed to another level. Alex began making beats and recording music in 2006. He produced his first gospel rap album called Revelations by D.J. D.O.L.L.A in 2007.

Growing towards the end of his teenage years, Alex began to stray into the ways of the world. Being in a society with so much negativity, drugs, sex, money, etc, helped to make him a friend of the world. Money became so important to him that he would spend a lot of time trying to make money. Money became more and more the reason Alex did anything and being in the wrong crowd fueled the fire. He thought that everything was ok when he had money, but deep inside he knew what his responsibility was with the Lord.

It wasn't until March of 2008 that Alex decided to make the change to live for God 100% instead of 50%. He had to give up a lot of people, places, and things in order to gain the people, places, and things that God wanted him to have. After reading and studying that Christians are not supposed to associate with a angry people, or go with a hot-tempered person, because you will learn his ways and endanger your soul, (Proverbs 22: 24,25) he realized that he truley had to give up everything and everyone up, pick up his cross, and follow Christ. Now he is in school studying music technology to better fuel his music ministry. His first solo album called First Class Life is in the making and is scheduled to come out near the end of the year. The album is his testimony about the negative effects of secular rap music, drugs, money, and other situations that lead us away from God and deprives us of our spiritual growth and focus on God. Many teens face these issues every single day unaware. He produced all but 4 tracks on the album, and recorded and mixed all but 1 track on the album. For his next album, Alex is going to release it under Young and Unashamed Records in 2009. Real Lyfe is planning to take listeners to a deeper level into the bible and the solid, perfect life of Christ.

Alex mentions that "living 100% for God is the greatest thing I have ever done. I try to tell my friends the joy of living a favored life but it seems so unreal that someone loves and cares for us as much as our savior does, that the reality of it is hard grasp. I wish I would have made this decision a long time ago. When you are living your life for you, then you get saved, you realize that everything you have done for yourself does not mean one thing. All the money you make, friends you make, and material things you get, all together do not mean anything if you are not using these things to Glorify God. He gave all of us a gift and if we are not using our gifts, talents, and soul to uplift His name then we are wasting our lives. If you dont know what your gift is, get in God's word and ask Him. I never knew my purpose in life until I started living right. Now im running forward and not looking back because looking back will stagnate us and stunt spiritual growth. Sharing God's word should be a joy. It should give us extreme pleasure to tell somebody about the love of Jesus. It doesn't matter if you sing, rap, write, dance, preach, or clap your hands, we should be up lifting His name in spirit, truth, physically, and mentally. God bless you all for stopping by the page. I pray that somebody will be blessed by this music ministry."
